My Sweet Bakery!

I really like this game. It’s a fun way to spend your time. I am not a fan of the ads and you don’t give an option to get rid of them. There is no pay for ads to go away. I can live with that- the only issue I have with game is the glitches where either the game will sometimes shut off while you are playing. Or the issue I have in the chocolate restaurant where the ovens won’t spill out the food into the bins. For example the pretzel machine just stopped making pretzels. Since it won’t make them- I can’t really move on as the next item to make was chocolate pretzels! If someone could please fix this I would really appreciate it!

The game is total mindless fun — no argument here. I couldn’t deal with the 30-second ads every two minutes, so I paid ~$5 to remove ads. You still have to watch these ads to get level three upgrades on equipment, staff, etc. It was irritating, but not a dealbreaker. Now, fast forward to once I got to the level 4 bakery — I started noticing that occasionally I “paid” for an upgrade and it did absolutely nothing. I reset the game a few times and no difference. The game isn’t connected to Game Center so when you delete it you lose all your progress. But the restart garnered no change. Then the pretzel oven didn’t produce anything at all— A bug, I’m sure, and I see many others complaining about it. What frustrated me is there is no way to reach out to in order to report the bug or have it fixed. I’m not that invested in trying to track down the Chinese company via Apple Store ‘App Support’ so just will delete the app.

I’ve recently been interested in bread/bakery games (who isn’t?) and this is a pretty decent game for such. It’s definitely a sort of tycoon— you start off with a little money and you run around your bakery buying new things, slowly building up your business! I haven’t had an issue with ads yet, but I haven’t been playing that long— still, there are other issues besides ads that are preventing a 5 star review.. First off, controls are a little tricky. There’s a joystick, which is perfect, but wherever you click on the screen is where the joystick appears- for instance, if you click the corner of the screen, the joystick will appear there. This isn’t a terrible feature, but depending where you click and where the joystick appears makes it difficult. Also, the circle inside of the joystick is quite small and makes using it uneasy, while the outer circle is too big— the outer circle will often block something I’m doing and gets in the way while the little one doesn’t block enough. Besides controls, buying new things for your bakery are difficult, too. There’s a little square you run inside (like lots of tycoons), but often I’ll run inside the square but nothing will happen— I’ll have to re-run into the square and then fully stop for it to know I’m there. Even if you’re just running across it, it should still pick it up and purchase the item. Anyway, decent game! It’s your own sweet bakery <3
