I have loaded about 40 of my completed, in progress, and “next in line” quilt projects. The app allows you to upload your own photos so I include photos of patterns, including fabrics needed and include photos of fabrics I might use in the project; this allows me to always have what I need for my project shopping. I also include notes of finished size and any other notes and ideas such as quilting thread color. The app includes fields for quilting designs used (or plan to use), designer, type of piecing, size category, type of quilting and quilted by. It does have options to sort projects by progress, name, or dates. I sort by progress so that I can quickly see what I need to shop for or work on next as those projects will be at the top (I guess I procrastinate on adding borders since I have several at that stage). Suggestion for improvement : Sorting by progress seems to group all completed projects randomly, I wish the completed projects could be sorted by date completed within the sorting by progress sorting. Great app that I am recommending to all my quilt friends for project planning, tracking, and showing off completed projects. Next time someone asks about the pattern name, fabric used, quilting design, just check the app.
I have been using the app for a year without problems. I have loved the updates and improved functionality. This past week I have not been able to add, edit or save any changes to my posts. I get a pop up that says there have been unexpected errors and to try again. Well I have tried many times again in the last few days and I get the same thing! I cannot find anywhere to report this or anywhere on the site to try and troubleshoot. Anyone else having problems? Any ideas how to fix it? I would give the site 5 stars except for this current issue. 😢
I like the idea of this app, because I love scrolling through quilts on Instagram and I like that this is more focused and allows more quilting specific information. But I feel like it’s missing a few key features so hopefully they’ll continue to add in some of these things. Some of the features I’d like to see include ways of sorting projects in your own profile. I’ve been adding past projects while they’ve hosted their challenge series, and there’s really no rhyme or reason to how I’ve uploaded them. I would love to be able to have it auto sort by date completed. This app seems to be trying to provide a social experience but it’s really not doing it at all. You can like a quilt, but the quilter can’t see who has liked it. There’s no feature for commenting on a quilt. You can follow quilters but you can’t see who is following you or anyone else, which would be nice so you can find people with similar styles. Another complaint is that it would be nice if the fields left blank didn’t show up in the project page. And finally, it would be nice if there was a way to omit projects created without a photo from the general feed. That last one seems harder to implement. Oh, and it would be nice and easy if you could add an option for domestic walking foot quilting in the quilting drop down. There are lots of specific options, but no option for walking foot, which I do if I quilt it myself. I don’t free motion. Finally, I’ve tried multiple times, but I can’t get my photo to successfully update for my profile. I guess that’s not the worst thing. But it’s not working. There is no support link in the app to report it. I guess if there was, I would have submitted this there instead of as a review. Overall, this app is a great start and I hope they continue to improve it.
