My College Roomie

My College Roomie would have potential if the developers actually listened to feedback and worked on the application. It has been a year since any development despite the immense amount of backlash, and there are several things wrong with the platform. First of all, and most importantly, it is NOT user friendly in the slightest. There are buttons on the UI that are greyed out despite being clickable, every alert needs to be manually marked as read unless clicked, and the app does not refresh properly. Recently, there has been a bug related to roommate eligibility, where some people were marked not eligible one moment back to being eligible again. There is also a consistent, reoccurring problem relating to input name and gender resetting what appears to be about every 24 hours. This has been happening to every student that has changed these input fields, and has been mentioned by multiple other reviews. Overall, the development, customer support and feedback teams have shown that the company lacks care for their consumers.

I WISH colleges would stop using this app for roomate selection its terrible its buggy I’ve only been able to successfully log in once and currently cannot get back in. This app starts off the college experience on the wrong foot 0/10. I think colleges who use this app truly do not care about their students because this is not just my experience with the app, it is the experience of the majority. Which is exactly why this app has a one star rating paired with an extensive amount of comment’s saying how terrible this app truly is.

I’m attending Boise State University in the fall of this year and I have to use this app to get a roommate and it’s been the worst experience. I can’t chat with anyone that sends me friend and roommate requests because all of my messages will not send and eventually disappear. I also was having an issue where it would randomly log me out and load endlessly. I don’t understand how this app is so broken for something as stress free as picking a roommate should be this app is just not it.
