I like this game, I really do. But I think it has a few issues. It reminds me of Jetpack joyride which I love, and is really fun. I also LOVE Dan the man. Like LOVE. it would be awesome to be able to be Dan the man in the game but plz don’t make us pay. And some times enemies spawn too close to me which is annoying because it’s impossible to shoot them fast enough. And if you pick up a heart at full health you should have an extra heart. And with Jetpack, the speed increase is way more sutble than this game. Your running slow than at full speed in seconds. You should also add more content like the AK47 or something. Overall I like the game but if you change a few things it would be much better
Well, it happened. This game somehow got updated. Some pros and cons about this new Monster Dash. Pros: Graphics heavily updated, but no longer pixelated. Maybe give the user an option to switch between old & new graphics for free? Barry now has an actual voice in the game. Previously, he only made a couple of noises when losing health. Speaking of sounds, they heavily updated those too. These new sounds might be the best part of the update. New costumes! They’re not all free, but it’s nice to have the option. Neutral: Ads everywhere. Why did I say this was neutral? It’s commonplace for Halfbrick games these days, so I wasn’t surprised to see them. Barry is a bit zoomed out too far when playing. This might be slightly better on an iPad. Cons: Some of the old weapons such as Rainbow Cheeks got removed. No idea as to why. Hog missions seem nearly impossible now. Bad design. The biggest problem is WHY CAN’T YOU PLAY OFFLINE?! Even Jetpack Joyride figured that out! This is why it only got 4 stars. Halfbrick can easily make the game play offline (with or without drawbacks). Your save data will be erased upon updating. Is this still a good game? Yes, if you’re able to ignore the new pay-to-win system the game uses. This app with the new update is probably better suited for iPads. Helpful hint: If you have any A5 device on hand or an iPhone 5/iPad 4 dual booted with iOS 7-9 using coolbooter, you can still get the old version of the game.
This game used to be really great and have lots of things. I was really happy when halfbrick updated it. They updated the graphics and added costumes which is good. But they removed the whole system for the collectible gems that gave you small bonuses, they removed rainbow cheeks, they removed the thing where if you fall off after reviving or the bike getting destroyed it puts you back up which is infuriating because on the levels where you have to drive a motorcycle a certain distance the bike keeps running out of fuel and when it explodes it sends me off the edge. And even when I revive it can still send me off the edge which wastes like 30 seconds of my time. I also don’t like the new art style I really wish they did one similar to Jetpack joyride, they also increased the price of the sword and even if you bought it before your money was wasted because you don’t have it anymore. That pretty much sums up what I think about the new update about the game.
