It’s good but this app has its own share of bugs 1: sometimes, when you finish a lesson (game) and do really good while expecting a 3 star finish, it kicks you out and makes you refresh the page, deleting you progress. 2: This might not sound like a bug, but it’s similar to one. The games are terrifyingly hard. You don’t understand the pain of getting 2 and a half star when you got everything right. 3: the videos are bad, and I mean it. The videos are so boring, most of the time people just skip it anyway, like frfr no one wants the stinky educational videos like “why is the sky blue” YAY like I’m fr losing 6 minutes of my life watching why the sky is blue. First of all, I already know why the sky is blue, second, I don’t care. Signed by a person from MLP Chinese class
I don’t know why everyone is complaining and giving this app 2 stars. Like, it is supposed to be educational so it’s not supposed to be fun, so why would you complain that it is boring??? This app is also very organized if you do it correctly, and you do it WITH the paper homework as well. It is not designed for everyone in the whole world to do it, it is designed for people who actually take the class. And the videos aren’t terrible either! I know middle schoolers who take the class and LOVE the videos and they learn a lot about it. Also, the videos that cost “money” don’t cost actual money so don’t pretend it is, besides they are pretty cheap and the older grade levels don’t cost any money. Also, you could’ve just watched the free version instead of the one that cost money. And, the app has so many different games that are super fun and the pronunciation of the bot or whatever speaker person is super loud and clear. I don’t know why everyone else is having issues with this app but if you do just know that you’re probably doing it wrong.
This is, well questionable. I haven’t had extreme lag/crash issues, but the app has its fair share of bugs. 1: Different/quiet/unintelligible voices when announcing. - Different voices reading some of the words - Very quiet sometimes - Some slurred text that you need to listen to twice 2. Ridiculous games. Games are a fun way to practice Chinese while having some fun. I do like how not all game visuals are copy pasted, but the concepts are very if not the same throughout grades. - Even when you get a VERY high score with no problems wrong, the game will assign you 2.5 stars. This is a very annoying mechanic, say you need 2 games with 3 stars each to progress. - Some of the games are ridiculously hard, as sometimes with problem 1 combined with games leads to you either needing to get help or spend a long time doing so again. 3. Bugs I have encountered - When going to home from a game, the app will show a black screen with a white background. This bug happens between versions. - Levels not loading in when clicked on. - Very strange character requirement mechanic, sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t. - Video does not let me adjust time. 4. Some positives - Good idea, I love the game concept and video concept too. - Helps you practice your Chinese
