Mimic - Escape Game-

I really enjoyed this game! I think the graphics are amazing and I love the characters design! The only issue I ran into is the puzzle’s didn’t make sense, they didn’t have any logic behind them! The thing that looked like an outlet was not only hard to find even accidentally but was also a card reader! There were many puzzles that would have been impossible to figure out or even find in the first place without a walk through which could deter people from this game. All in all, I had a lot of fun playing and I wish the creators had just as much fun making it! If you need a good walkthrough theres some online, theres no shame in needing help!

A lot of escape room games are very samey, and don’t have particularly in-depth puzzles; touching everything with every item you have is the main way to solve anything in those kinds of games. Mimicry is an excellent example of how to do escape rooms right, with very clever puzzles that you have to think about and roll around in your head for a bit; the kind that are very satisfying to figure out. It also has an extremely cozy and cute aesthetic, with a soft quality to the design that makes you really *want* to stick around and explore. I never felt pressured to hurry up and move on to the next step because the game is shaped in such a way that makes you sure you’ll get it eventually, and its fine to just relax and ponder potential solutions for a while. The art is excellent, the audio design is excellent, the level design is perfectly balanced between puzzle stuff and delightful decoration. I highly recommend hanging out with this cute little creature and seeing what you stumble across along the way 💚

Do not let the carefree art style fool you. This is very beautiful and cleverly created game. The puzzles are smart and the use of the environment is excellent. The puzzles are also challenging while not being so obscure that the logic doesn’t make sense. The hints method is adorable and is a nice way to do it. If you enjoy point and click adventure puzzles this is a great find. While shorter than most, the clever use of only 4 rooms sure beats the tedious schlepping back and forth in a large worlds. Can’t wait to play more games from this developer
