A final goodbye to miitomo

Okay so I downloaded this game last year and fell in love. This is my first time hearing about it shutting down and I’m so so sad. I love creating my friends and then bugging my friends to answer questions for me about their mii. I loved the candy drop and dropping miis for wallpapers and flooring. I loved creating mii photos. I’m not sure why they are shutting it down, but I don’t think they should. Miitomo creators, you truly made a loved and addicting app that people log onto everyday just to see the faces of their miis. If a fellow miitomo player is reading this, maybe you can try writing a review, maybe we can try to convince them not to shut miitomo down. We can’t lose miitomo like we did miiverse! So if any of the creators of miitomo are reading this or whoever is deciding to shut it down, please, keep miitomo for the world to enjoy, it truly is an amazing game that people are able to meet new people all over the world in, make contests and much much more. -Sincerely, your average 10 year old.

Please Keep Miiphoto!

I can’t believe they are closing this down, and after only a bit over a year. I use Miitomo often for the Miiphoto feature especially. There doesn’t seem to be an app half as versatile at creating fun cartoons from pictures using 3D avatars, nor half as cute. They really should allow us to keep our consummately created Mii's for such use, even if they close down the online features. But that is the problem with these apps-as-service. They can yank the rug out from under you at any time, and there is nothing you can do about it, no matter how much effort and time and money you put in. I’m very sad to see this go, and so quickly. Nintendo, or whoever they farmed this out to, never put in half the features it really deserved. I hope they come out with some sort of standalone Mii app one day. It’s always been one of the cutest features since the Wii days. Now I will miss the sound of my clunking Mii feet walking into the room as much as I miss the old Wii parade music...

Not much of a game, but a fun pick-me-up

The fundamentals of a social app is there, but there's nothing else in the app that makes you want to stay and keep using it. The whole concept of a social app is that you have all your friends and yourself using it because it's fast, convenient, and fun to use or play. If Miitomo has any plans of remaining relevant in the mobile space, it needs something to keep people interested in it, as changing your clothes and answering questions just isn't as interesting as Ninty thought it would be. The drop minigames are by far, the only real fun you can derive from the app at the moment, considering you really have nothing else to do but window shop for new clothes and type answers for questions that you may or may not care about. Making new friends is also near-discouraging, as anyone who just picks the app up has zero chances of making a new Miitomo friend unless they send them an app invite, or another person already owns it and still uses it on a regular basis. Why not have a hub world where Miis of other people gather at? We could then play more minigames and add them as friends from there. Let us mingle with anonymous users Nintendo! You already let us do so with Miiverse anyway, why not let us do it on a platform that is actually made for social interaction? Can still confirm in mid-2017 that this is easily a free meme machine with a Nintendo Seal of Approval.
