UPDATE: Fixed after a reinstall and an upgrade to the latest version. OLD REVIEW: This used to work very well. Ever since the major UI overhaul, though, the app refuses to output any audio over a cable or over Bluetooth, even after changing settings and restarting everything multiple times. The recent updates were likely yet another Windows Vista situation, where the developer was focused on aesthetics and not on actually making a decent program. Please, test your software before releasing it next time. There is no way that this passed your quality control (if there even is one).
I am using this with in-ear monitors while playing drums because I’m just not going to drop hundreds of dollars for drum mics and a mixer right now. While I am new to monitors and mixes and don’t have much to compare this app’s performance to, I think the mix you get out of it is pretty great for what it is. I can hear all my drums well, the compressor really cuts down harsh cymbals, and, I kid you not, it has zero lag… as long as you use wired monitors or headphones of course. In addition, I messaged the developer about an issue with the app not remembering my settings… And the guy messaged back the next day, said he would address the issue soon, and it is in fact now fixed. Pay the man.
I really quite liked it. I liked that I could leave it in one room and be bluetoothing from another location and listen to what my grandson was getting up to at the ripe old age of 2…. A grandma has to go potty sometime.;-) anyhoo…I could only ever use it on ipad which is quite old now and inoperable for the time being. It never worked well n any iPhone models I had (6 Plus,7, 7 plus, 8, 8 Plus, I used on those 5 (which was buggy at best) and ipad and ipad always worked but now i have a 12 promax and I have never been able to get it to work. The “onoff” toggle is just nowhere to be foun. I was quite happy until now but it seems that 16.3.1 did a doozy on all my stuff. Wish it would be updated if that is the issue. Move away from the speaker. Any mic will hum/screach and its massively annoying but any again…any, wil do that. That is the feedback loop it gets into when its also broadcasting the sound of itself. The sound going through the speaker to your ears is being picked up by the mic and retransmitted. Not that nobody knows but just on the off chance that somebody may not know. ;-)?ii I also used the mic to listen to blood flow through the valves as I am in heart failure now. I can hear every detail. I syure hope it starts getting updated to the update that recent zero-day vulnerability tha was discovered and required a hasty patch. I will use it again but wish that a mere patch would not have resulted in this app no longer even having a “on/off” switch or toggle. Not thinking this is on appl. Just my thoughts.
