I prefer this app over all the others I have tried. Entirely focused on getting you to conversational level. It could do with a bit more written material, and I pity anyone trying to learn the alphabet with it (a shame they are so committed to the spoken technique even when it falls short). It's apparent the mt method would be fantastic if you could afford one on one instruction, but this app will have to do. The biggest shame is it's only available for beginners- I will have to buy the cd course, and get a CD player again!
The app looks and feels like it was done by a friend of a friend. Given how simple the app is I'd love to see them replace it with a decent one (made by a team with a UX designer and a QA). If you listen to the content for decent chunks of time then it works pretty well. If you like to dip in and out you may find the bugs in the app make it a tedious experience. Not exactly conducive to the relaxed frame of mind they remind you about needing to listen with. From what I've heard of the content so far though it's great.
This by far the easiest method to learn a language that I've ever used! I've noticed previous reviewers complained about losing their purchases and not being able to redownload. The app actually has a button on the information page to restore previous purchases. Also, if you're prompted to redownload and pay, once you click on it Apple recognises your purchases and doesn't charge you. Just make sure you use the same Apple ID when restoring your purchases!
