I have no complaints about the actual pet-sitting, only the app. I have used it a few times over a year and found it difficult since my initial download. Firstly, despite how basic it is, the app is not intuitive. Secondly, I have had technical issues a few times and there is no contact information to reach out for support. Typing my issues into the troubleshooting bot box results in a blank page every time. My sitter has manually edited things for me in the past which was quite helpful. I’d love to use the service again but have no way of finalising a booking request due to app issues. Every time I return, I hope it will have improved but no such luck after a year… maybe it’s just me, but it’s very frustrating and time-consuming.
As a pet caregiver I have had majorly disappointing interaction with their back end team. They were unreasonable, unfair, and would not provide payment transactions information (payslip) when they had removed my access to my account/profile and they refused to provide the breakdowns of their payment they provided that was well under the expected amount I was due to receive. When I asked for the payslip they said they would not be providing one. I was not looked after or treated fairly. Madpaws discriminated against me through a horrific situation I was in that was outside of my control and abruptly remove my ability to Access Madpaws unable to use my account without any warning or notification for over a week and just left me wondering while ignoring my emails and phone calls. Their actions were completely unjustified and I have thousands of dollars of lost income due to their poor business management and decision making that concluded in terminating my profile and removing my 5 star account with only positive reviews. I will now endeavour to find a more reasonable and appropriate conclusion.
Seriously one of the worst, most frustrating apps I’ve ever used which is clunky, ineffective and impossible to get right! To top of the fact that when I booked my job using the calendar - showed highlighted for two weeks but advertised as only the starting & finishing date - so TWO DAYS!! Unsurprisingly a lot of confusion was caused and I found my sitter elsewhere. Help was impossible to get and I found that people trying to book work have endless problems as well. You cannot upload pics easily - it tells you you have but then they’re either not there or have somehow migrated to a different pet! I lost count of how many times it took me to finish it only to find when I went back in that half the info had disappeared or changed and I had to start again. Then there’s the fact that it was suggesting people who lived up to 80kms away for ‘House visits twice a day’ - because that’s going to work! Hopeless and frustrating and I’ve ultimately found someone on a different platform. I’ll be deleting Madpaws as soon as this is approved and published - I’d really love an apology or at least acknowledgment but as I couldn’t get a response when I was going to be a paying customer - I’m not holding my breath!
