The app should be free like for real you’re just checking the value of your card just to see how expensive they are I did it that it cost money to on the app, but you could make it to where there’s like a donation button inside the system and if you really need money, then people can donate money instead of having to pay monthly or yearly if not make yearly and monthly plan cheaper I guess your monthly plans are already cheap make the yearly plan, please like I said I prefer that the app like I’m being serious. The app should be free. The whole system should be free so you know how you take a picture and it stores up your collection shouldn’t be like that it should be just where you take a picture of your card and the database just tells you the price of your card is and that’s it. No storage required so Like a memory bank And if not that the storage should be free and you shouldn’t have to pay monthly for the app at all or the storage or pay any kind of money yearly this is flat out wrong because I could take my sport cards to a professional card place and they would tell me what the value of the cards are for free just for the value of the cards And you want money in return just so people can scan the value of their cards that’s wrong.
I’ve scanned about 7k cards in a month from the 60s through present day, with a success rate around 98% on first scan. 1% of the 2% that did not scan were found after a little info input into the system. The other 1% were either multi sport based cards or Ludex have not entered into their database yet, which are some present day cards. I did have some issues when first starting out but the customer service is great and responds usually within 24 hours. The CEO handled one issue which was awesome and shows Ludex cares about the customer. Customer service will let you know one way or another if a set is being inputted to scan or is upcoming; or they don’t put multi sport sets in, etc…up front is a good business practice. Other issues are: sometimes, not often, a parallel has to be changed but not a big deal, helps me get familiar with all this new stuff nowadays…weirdly fun. Some pricing isn’t accurately interfaced but a little research through eBay links, you get a good/quick picture of what you’re looking for. Overall the improvements to the app in my one month of usage have been tremendous and I believe they have some bigger improvements in the future. Great card organization and pricing all in one place. Benefits outweigh the minor issues and keeps getting better.
I recently inherited a huge collection of sports cards. Probably close to half a million comprised of all sports. I haven’t been into sports personally since I was a child and I was primarily a baseball fan. When I first got my scanning apps I thought I was rich. I used CollX and built a 150k value after scanning 10k cards. It was a huge disappointment to see that was maybe 400% real prices. Ludex has had much more success in accurate pricing and can handle scanning refractors, something the other apps can’t do well. My favorite aspect of Ludex is the recent sales section right after you scan. I always look for the highest sale and then go to “sell one like this” almost always the highest selling item had the most information so it really cuts down on listing time. I wish I had not wasted my time on collx because it is almost completely inaccurate price wise and on top of that, it doesn’t do parallels well. I haven’t had a single sale on the platform and their export cvs file doesn’t match eBay’s. I tried and ended up with a ton of gibberish. If you don’t know what you have and need to figure it out, Ludex is the best scanner. If you want to save time listing cards to eBay, Ludex is the answer. The only issue I have is that it doesn’t have an option for front and back scanning. It also doesn’t export in eBay format which is silly to me. If you take the time to make and export option, you should make it compatible with the largest platform for trading cards.
