Louisiana 511 Traffic Cameras

This is probably the most helpful app I,ve seen yet. If you travel in Louisiana, this is a MAJOR TIME-saver. We all know how traffic is here. Live this app!!!

Of course there’s room for improvement, but it seems to work as well as can be expected for a new app by a solo developer. I am excited to be able to quickly and efficiently check traffic on my routes. And I only expect it to get better over time. Also very glad there’s no data collection, which seems to be rare these days.

The sheer idea alone has me giving 4 stars, since everyone knows that neither BRPD’s traffic updates via Twitter nor Siri are EVER updated enough to be anything nearing reliable. Having a programmable route I take daily is absolute genius. Will probably update to 5 stars once LADOT gets their act together and all the cameras consistently work (the developer of this app has nothing to do with camera outages, that’s on LADOT).
