ListenBook: audiobook player

There are a few hiccups when trying to rewind or fast forward. It seems to lose the place and get “stuck” and I have to shut the app down re-open and start over. But otherwise I’m happy with functionality. It has the ability to slow down or speed up narration, and a sleep timer.

So I use audible to my audiobooks and have hundreds of titles but I’ve had issues with the recent digital “ownership” problem going on. So I did some research and figured out a way to get my own audiobooks that are mine to keep. The issue then is having a reliable audio player that you can upload the files to. This app has been one of many I use and I absolutely love it! It has a simple interface and uploading files is pretty easy. There can definitely be some minor improvements but the team seems to accept feedback well and I can see them continuing to work on the app. Highly recommend if you’re using MP3 or M4B files. I haven’t tried other files yet so I cannot comment!

I’ve spent a lot of time and money searching for the perfect player and this is it!! You can access from folders stored in your Documents app on the phone which I love as well as half a dozen other ways - there is a very nice equalizer - you can control the speed, up or down and the sound is still perfect - you can edit the album covers easily - change the pitch and several other changes. I’ve had a lot of players but they were always missing one or more of these. THIS player has it all. A bit expensive but that’s ok.
