Linen: Safe Crypto DeFi Wallet

To put it simply, Linen is awesome. It provides easy direct access to Compound DeFi to earn interest on deposits without having to deal with all the complexities that it usually involves. Fortunately I was able to get in after briefly joining the wait list but I hope people can be patient and revisit Linen when they reopen to the public in the future.

Got referred and downloaded via a recommendation from a friend of mine. So far the app seems to be easy to set up and navigate. Deposited some money into my Linen account, which was pretty easy and straightforward. Excited to see my cash earning interest right away and looking forward to earning some extra cash.

UPDATE (Nov. 26, 2019) Bummed. I received an email today from the Linen App team, stating: “Congratulations, there! You've been approved! Now you can add funds and start earning.” A short while later, I received a follow-up email, essentially stating “just kidding, haha, you still have to wait.” Here’s the actual body text of that second email: “Please disregard our previous email as we were testing our new email notification system and sent emails to wrong people. Things happen when we move fast ;). Linen App is invite-only now and we are moving certain participants off the waitlist. Apologies for the mix up.” I’m docking one star for a disappointing first impression. But I’m hopeful the Linen App team will do better in the future. ORIGINAL REVIEW Love the idea of giving more people access to higher-interest-earning platforms like Compound while minimizing their risk and lowering the barriers to entry. It’s also great to see Linen working with top-notch partners like Wyre. I’m eager to take Linen for a spin once I get moved off the waitlist.
