LGBT+ Amino Community and Chat

Its 4 stars because stuff needs NEEDS to be fixed with hiding stuff from people and stuff like that because it ‘violated the guidlines’ yes i understand that it needs to be taken down but some of it doesnt now this doesnt go for everything that they hide and you can fix it yes i understand that, but some people hide things for absolutely NO REASON like okay one of my things gets taken down i look at it and im jsut like “????whats wrong???” Okay i fix it yes sometimes it gets re enabled but when it “clogs the feed” OKAY DONT TAKE IT DOWN???!!!!! Because it “clogged” the feed it NEEDS TO EB TAKEN DOWN?? No i dont like ANYTHING about hiding and stuff like that okay ya sometimes its necessary but cmon?

I love this app. I’ve been using it for almost a week and I love the people, I love reading other people’s blogs, and I love doing the quizzes and polls. When I went on this app, I was so confused on my sexuality and I never thought that anyone felt the same way I did. However, I found a chat where I could openly tell people that I was confused and that I thought I was the only person who felt this way about their sexuality when really I wasn’t. The people supported me and I supported them. We made some good laughs and I haven’t run into any drama yet which I rare for me with internet friends. The only reason as to why I’m giving it 4 stars is because whenever someone messages in one of the chats I’m in, sometimes the preview message pops up and then disappears when on lock screen. Also when I go into the app the chat bubble on the top right corner of the app doesn’t always have a red dot on it when someone messages in the group chat. At first it worked fun but after a couple days that happened. Anyways, if you are a person who is trying to find other people of the LGBT+ community that is like you, this is your place to go. Also if you’re questioning your gender or sexuality, this place will help a lot!

I found this app through YouTuber Ash Hardell. I’m very thankful because it’s a place where I can see creativity, love, and support within the community. That being said, there are WAY too many old people (mostly guys) preying on younger members of the community, especially through chat and even as far as sending unsolicited nudes to minors. If there could be a function that banned new members (<lvl5 or something) from chatting or sending photos that would be amazing. There are also a lot of people who will post baiting polls/blogs/questions with the intention of getting a rise out of the people they’re putting on the spot. I think this should be a punishable action because it’s catty and not productive to a happy and healthy community. Lastly, it would be nice if we could make a blog post without having to put something in the title bar (at least make it optional?), but that’s just purely aesthetic taste.
