LEGO® TECHNIC® AR

First let me say that I am a huge Lego fan. However I find this app pretty bland as there is not much too it. I have both the Yamaha and the mars rover technically sets. Now don’t get me wrong I love both sets however this app seemed more like gimmick as it does not add much value to the sets. Just to be clear I find it supper interesting that you can see extra details about the sets however after you mess around for a couple of minutes the novelty wears off. Overall there is not enough interactive elements where I would say that this app is a must have and I would also say that there are not enough utilizing this feature. If Lego adds more of the newer technic sets and if Lego retroactively add this feature to their older technic, the supper car sets, the 1:8 scale motorcycles while also adding more information and interactive features this would enhance the experience a lot. Finally if the developers allowed you to be able to see and interact with all of the sets using this feature to see the components like the transmissions engine and how they work that would add a much more positive experience.

Before you read this review, know that I love LEGO, and is one of the best companies in my opinion. Ok, I think this is kind of unnecessary. I bought my dad the LEGO TECHNIC Mars Rover Perseverance (great set) for Father’s Day, and we had fun building it together. It had cool play features, and was very worth it. Then it said we should download this app for more fun, so we decided to give it a try. My sister played on it for about 5 minutes. Then I gave it a try. Honestly, it was a little boring. It didn’t really seem to have a point, and was just kind of bland, if you get the jist. I didn’t NOT like it, but I didn’t like it either. I do know it works for other sets too though, so maybe still give it a try. Also, the AR worked PERFECTLY. It has lots of potential. It definitely isn’t a must have though, and the set is just fine on its own in my opinion.

Overall I really enjoyed this game. It was a easy to use app and great time. It was a bit straining on my battery but that should be expected. But the only real problem I had was there just wasn’t enough content. I have the perseverance model but I was done with every thing in 30 minutes and I was trying to make it last. I would move the rover to make the drill position were it needed and moved the main camera to see under the ground and explored everything. It was a amazing experience but little short, but the content was fun and quality. But definitely get the app it’s so much fun and gives some fun information.
