I’ve tried many “book/reading” apps and this is by far the best one. The books seem to be well edited and are well written. Also, I haven’t had to buy coins to continue reading. So far, I’ve only had to watch ads to continue to the next chapter. I would say the downside is that I have to watch an add for every chapter and chapters are only about 7 pages, so I have to watch a LIT of ads. The other thing is it’s not very intuitive on how to earn free coins. It’s not easy / intuitive to do a daily check in either.

I started reading a story based on the ad that proclaimed all chapters free. Almost immediately I had to watch ads to open each chapter. Which I can live with. The ads usually played and finished and let me get back to the story. About the story, it reached a logical end point at least ten times but would always manufacture a ridiculous scenario to extend. But I was invested in the main character and her child so I kept going. The child , by the way bounces back and forth from a girl to a boy and then back to a girl which was a little disorienting but I kept going. The I arrived at chapter 511 out of 530. Yes you read that right 530 chapters. But finally with the end in sight all of the sudden I was being required to pay in order to unlock the remaining 20 chapters. I was promised all chapters free and I did my part. I gave this story a huge amount of my time and I watched hundreds of ads some of which were for fraudulent products and then right at the end the rules changed and now I have to pay. I will not! In spite of giving this story 510 chapters I am going to just accept that I will not find out how it ends. But I won’t give this app any more of my time.

I’m giving 4 stars because you can watch ads to read free. However I firmly believe that the chapters should be longer than the ads! The further in you get the shorter the chapters are, often only 3pages, in exchange for a 1 - 2 minute ad. You spend more time on ads than you do reading. Many of these type apps seem to be related. The stories are extremely similar in a lot of ways. Reusing almost the same plot, (overbearing “alpha” males with fragile women who become strong. Always with some manipulative relative doing vicious and violent things who they can’t escape from.) There’s always a big misunderstanding, jealousy and conflict. The chapters/stories are stretched out with repetition forcing you to watch more ads to get to the ending. Sometimes subplots are never resolved and the “books” often suffer seriously from lack of editing. They use the same luxury cars and even recycle the same names only changing them as to who is the lead and the support characters. Seriously after you’ve read 3 or 4 you wonder if there’s a single original thought or storyline, or if they’re all just the same story recycled. Sometimes you get an overwhelming amount of soft porn. (Is it really impossible these days not be able to have sex without swearing at each other?)
