Law Empire Tycoon - Idle Game

I have been playing this game free to play for some time now. I’ve missed out on two “content” drops, seasons in which a big case is focal point of the grind. I was disappointed at first but decided to put in the time needed to level my firm up so when the next season rolled around I was more ready, except that never happened. There has been no other season to come out, with what feels like months of nothing to do but slowly level my firm. So I changed directions, I decided this would just be a game where I would check it once a day or so to spend my accumulated cash to upgrade. This was fine for a time until tonight. I am down to my last lawyer office to fully upgrade, traffic five, when I found out one of the final upgrades requires you to spend real money to level up your bank reserve to be able to hold enough cash to afford the upgrade. I can’t lie I am a little heart broken as I felt like the expectations I had were low enough not to be dashed again, and yet here I am so upset I’m leaving a one star review. I am writing this review to vent my frustration and to warn others about this game. I can’t speak to their other projects but for this one game with my hours of experience I would caution any new players to pick this up. They will bleed you dry and offer little to no content to make your time worth while. Don’t do what I did and sink hours into a game that doesn't respect you as a player. Find something else anything else.

All in all I really enjoyed this game. I love the stylistic choices the designers made. The gameplay is cool and I really enjoy upgrading it so when I mention negatives about this game just know I really do enjoy it and the negatives are just nit pickings and improvements to be made. For starters the advertises it as a grind game when in fact it’s more of a daily check up type game. I don’t mind games like this but I know a lot of people prefer grind games to each there own. Another thing I dislike is the fact that your money caps I get it it’s to make sure you’re not grinding and doing everything all at once but it is annoying and all the time in game getting money is getting wasted if you bank caps. This game also sort of seems like a cash grab which there isn’t anything inherently wrong with that but u can tell which some people might not like. Now nit picking aside there was a very fun aspect of this game and it was going to court and helping a client since you are lawyer this part of the game was SO fun and I really enjoyed it. There was a time limit and you had to get evidence by a certain period of time to go to court. I was able to do the chess killer case and then I got to the police case but I didn’t meet the time limit for the police case and I wasn’t able to go to court. And now I can’t get the court cases back. I’ve waited months before writing this because I thought it was a mistake on my part or they would eventually come back but they haven’t and it is very discouraging. This aspect was gold and now since I missed on dead line I can’t experience it again. All and all I like the game just wish it was less tedious and that I could do court cases again.

Ive really been enjoying this app, as I’m an aspiring lawyer. It seems for the most part to be pretty accurate. “Season 1 the Chess Killer” is awesome finding the evidence, and when you get to the court room having to defend your client and choose what defense is right is actually pretty tense and makes this app 100x more fun. I really hope to see a bunch more of these in the future, maybe even at a faster rate because they’re honestly so much fun. Also, being able to chose from different lawyers with different strengths to hire and adjusting their pay makes this feel so realistic and awesome. The improvements I would recommend is the timing for having things built. Having to wait 4-8 hours for something to upgrade feels way too long, especially because I have everything else upgraded. With my vault completely filled, and nothing else to upgrade because I’m waiting on my builder to complete the upgrade it leaves me with nothing to do with my money other than wait. I understand this is how some games work but this game has so much more potential to include other things to do, like the “Chess Killer” while you wait for upgrades. Especially if you aren’t the type of person to pay for more builders or buy coins to speed up the process. I’d also love to see some customization options for your firm, just a little touch but would make it feel like it’s truly yours. Other than that, I haven’t found a game I enjoy this much in a long long time. I am looking forward to the next season and defending the next client. Keep up the fantastic work!
