Language Transfer

I’ve completed the Complete Spanish and Intro Italian courses and have begun German. I became practically addicted to listening to the lessons, always pausing, repeating out loud, and thinking alongside the student. The pacing is perfect. I had always felt very discouraged beginning learning a new language. I’d get bored being talked to like a baby and learning isolated phrases without feeling any progress. Despite loving learning Mandarin, I found myself unable to dedicate myself to other languages. Learning Spanish felt far harder than learning Mandarin, which I found strange as a native English speaker. I believe this is because Mihalis’s Language Transfer method does something almost no others do: it takes advantage of the similarities between languages. The early steps don’t feel horrifically slow. Almost immediately, you develop a large enough vocabulary to play around with the language. You’re immediately forming full grammatical sentences. If you’re tired of feeling that no matter how much grammar you learn, you still find yourself confused by the structure of the language itself, this is absolutely what you need.

This is the most innovative way to learn a language I've ever encountered. And it works brilliantly! I've been studying Spanish for about 18 months, and I've learned a lot, but there were definitely some concepts that I struggled with... until now (MORE below). The app itself is as bare-bones as can be, but the learning experience is unmatched. This guy deserves not only my 5 stars, but like a Nobel in language or something. I'm def gonna donate -- but you don't have to. Unbelievably, this is totally free! ====================================MORE: The program I already completed was very traditional. There are 150 hour-long lessons. You listen to a dialogue, then get an explanation, then do lots of exercises. It's very thorough, but I end up feeling like I have to search my brain to remember things, and I lose confidence quickly. The Language Transfer method, by contrast, takes what I already know from English and gives me simple rules so I can quickly and easily *build* what I need when I need it. I also appreciate that there isn't a ton of vocabulary to memorize -- I can look something up when I need it. I probably wouldn't make this my *only* language-learning app, but I'd definitely recommend it as the best possible starting point.

I’ve been studying Spanish for seven months with eight other apps averaging 6 hours a day of studying. Then 8 weeks ago I discovered LT and suddenly all the learning from the other apps just snapped into place with what LT teaches. It’s like the missing piece of the puzzle that I needed. The key to the locked box. I listen to a lesson each day and I do take notes (even though we are instructed not to) When the fabulous teacher says a sentence to translate and that sentence has 20 words in it, I always think how in the world can I translate that—but it is such a miracle with his guidance and instructions at just how everything is clear and I can see light at the end of the tunnel and it all comes together and after a few seconds, I’m translating a 20 word sentence. I’m still doing all my other apps but at the end of the day when I do my LT lesson, it’s like coming home to a long drink of knowledge. I’m on lesson 53 out of 90 and I’ve progressed so rapidly with the 53 lessons that I have very high expectations of where I’ll be at lesson 90. Get the app—-and sit back and marvel at what you’ve been missing—the missing piece to the puzzle!! And I want to know who the Spanish student was that he teaches in the course. What is her name and where is she from? She is so amazing and brilliant and I love her accent. The two together deserve an award.
