Jyotish Dashboard™

The developers of Jyotish dashboard have come out with a new version for iOS in December 2023. From the program notes, it looks like it was released to make the app compatible with iOS 17.Unfortunately, the latest release seems to create more issues than it solves. First, when I open the app after it automatically updated, I discovered that my chart records were no longer in the database. I went to the email that I had sent to back up my records, but find I cannot upload those records back to the app. I’m not sure why, and I’ve tried everything, but it appears with this new release that the uploading of a back up database to the app does not work the way it worked using previous versions of the app. This needs to be fixed right away.I am also getting a weird UI. I had upgraded my phone to an iPhone 15 a few months ago, and I was worried whether the app was going work with my new iPhone, and found that it worked like a charm, using an earlier version of jyotish dashboard that was released eight years ago. But with this most recent update, while the app works, in addition to the fact that I cannot upload back up chart records, the UI is no longer accurate, as its screens do not line up correctly.As others have written, I would contribute to having this program fixed because it’s the best Jyotish program out there in my opinion, and I’ve been using it for almost as long as it’s been on the market. But if the issues that I raised are not addressed, I am reluctantly going to have to move away from this application as it’s no longer feasible for me to continue to use. Or unless I’m given the option to roll back to a prior version.

I have been in advanced Jyotish -vedic sidereal astrology school since 2012 studying and Ayurveda. This APP can be tricky IF the calculations are set incorrectly or if TIME ZONE IF wrong and a "beginner" isn't going to know this most likely or see the inaccuracy! i know how to make the proper adjustments & Immediately, I am able to tell when a chart is incorrect by talking to a client! -- not everyone -especially beginners- or non-educated people use this app will not understand = the consequences are that they charts will be incorrect and they won't realize it! or they don't know how to adjust it! must must have a time of birth or the entire charts & Varga charts will be INCORRECT! if people don't know how to read Chandra lugna - a moon chart or a Sun chart - well then that creates a problem too - is what it is - sometimes there is a small variation in accuracy -i then use my expensive Jyotish software to compare (small variations in the DEGREES can throw off the Nakshatras & padas too) beginners 'should not' rely on this app - that's my professional opinion

I live this app so much, just wish there were an iMac desktop version. I also have Parashara's light, but in many ways I prefer this one even at such an inexpensive price. It is easy to navigate visually, very accessible. Although it doesn't include interpretations, I prefer that so that I can focus on honing my skills and using my own sources for interpretation. Best of all, this is the most affordable software to be able to calculate Sidereal Nakshatras with a Tropical Zodiac, which Parashara's light does not allow. So if you're someone who also follows that camp or has read Ernst Willhelm or Vic Dicara's work and want to explore those calculations, this is a great app to get started! There had been one instance where the ascendant was off which I realized after comparing to Parashara's Light and other softwares. This was only one out of many charts and what I realized was that the birthday was on the first day of Daylight Savings Time. Considering the affordability of the software, I don't mind that it missed that small 1-hour mistake. I simply adjusted the time zone settings and all worked perfectly.
