Honestly, one of the most frustrating auction services I’ve used. First of all, they don’t actually refund your money for returned items, they give you points/store credit instead. So basically, even when there’s a problem with the item, your money stays trapped in their system. The pickup process is absolutely ridiculous. Everything is by appointment, which would be fine if appointments actually meant anything. You show up at your scheduled time and still end up waiting forever. What exactly is the point of making customers book a specific time if you’re going to make them stand around and wait anyway? And the item descriptions are another problem. Items are frequently listed as “new” when they very clearly are NOT new. If something has been opened, used, returned, damaged, or shows obvious signs of handling, stop calling it new. That’s misleading. Between the endless waiting, questionable item descriptions, and a refund policy designed to keep your money inside their platform, the whole experience feels incredibly customer-unfriendly. I’ve given this service multiple chances, and somehow every visit manages to be more annoying than the last. If you value your time, your money, and accurate product descriptions, stay away.
Great concept and the app has some unique items. However, I have had mixed experiences with purchases. I won two pairs of swimming goggles; both were broken and one had human hairs stuck in cracks. In another listing for colored gel pens, the first picture did not match the colors in the actual package. There were 30 listings for these pens, so obviously a flaw from the manufacturer and they needed to get rid of them. But listing with the picture of what the correct colors should have been in the actual package is misleading. I also bought a pack of three notepads with a grid or graph paper template, but when I opened them, the pages were blank. They definitely need to inspect these products more carefully and disclose flaws.
So, JustBid used to be Prime Auctions. About a year ago they shifted things over to JustBid and created a new website. The app is awesome and very similar to the desktop version, you just have to learn how to navigate through. They’ve updated it a couple times and fixed some bugs that I noticed. Scheduling a pickup is so much more simple compared to how it was earlier and I’m sooo glad. I hope to see an update including a filter in the wishlist section, but you can also just unlike items to organize it how you want. Also very much appreciate the detailed invoices layout it’s so easy to view now too. You can find some great deals with this place.
