I have zero background in Arabic and I find the multiple methodologies for beginners (write letters, listen&select letter sound, repeat) to be exactly what I’m looking for. I’m still getting through the letters, and like this the most out of other free apps I’ve downloaded. UPDATE: this app is ONLY for letters, which I don’t realize. Still very good. What would make it excellent would be a quiz at the end on all letters, sound, writing, etc.

While most Arabic lesson programs assume you already know the alphabet, this app does a great job of teaching you the alphabet to start. It practices speaking the letters and drawing them, and then interspersed are ayat you can listen to. Wonderful app and I recommend it as a first lesson to everyone trying to learn to read Arabic words as a start.
