Jobmania Eternal Dungeon

Its hard to describe exactly the impact this game has had on me. It has its balance issues, and some fights are clearly unfair to certain builds, but the bones and the ideas put forth here have made a profound impression on me. Ive played, no joke, most rpgs that have released since the snes came into this world. I am very confident in my knowledge of rpg mechanics and game design, and it has been a slow burn dream of mine to do exactly what Aub is doing here and making my own video game. When i think nowadays of what game i want to finally make, i find myself often taking inspiration from Jobmania as it hits so many notes that i would personally want in a perfect mobile game: replayability, cool heroes, meaningful items, build diversity, easy to play but hard to master, and that neverending treadmill of dopamine. These things are pillars that game creators have tried to pin down and balance for decades and few ever get close, so for Aub to have made this… well, if you’re listening Aub, Amazing work. And thank you. If i ever finish my game i’ll rec it in discord.

From the images and description you might think this is one of those ad filled gacha inapp nightmares. But it’s really not. If you like incrementals, roguelites, or tcgs. Give it a try! AND no annoying hand holding tutorial that lasts forever!! It’s full of popular and obscure references, you’ll get things like references to Rick & Morty and new things, then randomly Saint Seiya, the 80s anime. It’s almost like a Slay the Spire + Super Smash Bros (things from all sorts of references) + Pokemon (You collect and capture heroes) + Crafting jobs! And yes. You really can play this game free. And no, you won’t feel the “oh if you’re free u can have these scraps, but if u want to stand a chance u gotta pay”. I’m a very picky gamer and was pleasantly surprised!

This game seems like it’s really good. There is a whole lot of depth to its job/character system and I’ve had a really fun time playing around with it. I think I may have came across a bug however - as every single enemy I come across only ever waits. They never do anything else. I assumed it was only for the tutorial, and then I thought maybe I’d trigger something and the game would fix it but… I’ve made it to floor 180 or so and they still only ever wait. It’s really disappointing.
