We were told at the bus station in San Gimignano where we need to catch an early train the only option to get the bus ticket is to download the app and buy ticket from it. Not only the app is slow in loading . The sign up page never worked if you use a non-Italy phone number.
I don’t blame the non-skilled developer . I blame the municipal office who made the decision to employ this app which is a nightmare for a tourist . And San Gimignano is one of the most popular tourist town.

It used to work fairly well for buying tickets on the app (I have an Italian phone number). Now it almost never even loads/opens. When it does, it still takes forever to activate a ticket. Now I can’t even do that, and my purchases have disappeared.

As many, the others have stated SMS does not work for those with an American phone number. My provider does allow SMS from international and I get minimum many times but this one no. developers please fix this. It’s been many years.
