Learn Afrikaans – Mondly

I’ve been on it for about an hour straight, going from English to Afrikáans seems to be decently easy in my opinion. I’d be more than happy to play $10 a month. We all spend $10 on useless stuff, why not pay it to learn a language on a good app?

I was practicing phrases with a South African local over WhatsApp, and he mentioned I was saying certain things in Dutch. I met him in Cape Town and hopefully we can be together one day. However, I still would love to learn the language but unsure if the app developers had any intentions of mixing Dutch in the learning. It’s understandable with the history of colonization but I would prefer more authenticity.

I was skeptical at first. But after a short while I was able to read if not speak what I was learning. It starts out easy and gets more advanced as you progress. If you go too fast you end up having to go back and refresh. So take your time. Fun way to learn a language.
