Just crashes at startup, deleted app, but still crashes, such a stupid app, spend a lot in UniFi products, just to always get the run around in support, is a very disappointing experience, never lives up to the hype, so sad, because I was hoping it was a great replacement to all other video and network solutions, but they just seam to release products for a short time, then kill them a few months later, leaving the so promising products to die, without any support, the tech support that they do have, doesn’t know anything about their own products, they refer you to someone else, just to wait days or weeks, and oftentimes to never get a resolution for even the simplest problems, they don’t funny test their updates, and oftentimes it breaks networks, not a very reliable company, don’t expect an apple quality of a product, even though one of the engineer claims to have come from apple, I feel as thought he was probably fired from Apple, and so the products are not up to any single standards, so much could be done right, but somehow they always find a way to ruin a promising product, and we end up being their test dummy’s because we never get a quality product, just junk.

UPDATE FOR iPhone 11 users. After app crashes, launch app again and add the NVR again. Immediately go to the settings screen and turn OFF Touch ID. Now the app will not crash if you sign out and sign back in. This app obviously needs to detect the iPhone model and disable Touch ID if you have an 11. Also, the app doesn’t appear to support Face ID on the 11. This is why it crashes on 11’s and works on other iPhones. In software terms, they have an unhandled exception when used on an 11 and Touch ID is enabled. Let’s get with it guys. Test your software before release. App crashes after selecting NVR. If I delete the NVR and add it again, videos can be accessed as long as I do not log out. If I log out and attempt to log back in by selecting the NVR, the app crashes immediately. I have to delete and add every time I need to see the cameras. App still works on iPhone 6S with the latest iOS. 13, but for some reason still has the problem listed above with iPhone 11. I tested on more than one 6S and 11 iPhones.

We outfitted our entire Office with Ubiquiti products, gateways, access points, switches, and security cameras so everything could live inside one east to manage ecosystem and for the most part it does, however, I sold the system on our staff being able to access security cameras via their IOS devises and it has been nothing but disappointment. The ONLY part of the system that ownership will ever interact with just doesn’t work and it has hindered my ability to e pans the system. Anytime their is a network issue they automatically say “it’s that gear the IT department installed, we can’t even monitor our security cameras like we were supposed to be able to”. I hope Ubiquiti understands how this is effecting their reputation. Sure everything works great on the back end but the people who write checks don’t see that. Get it fixed or get out of the security game, everything else you make works impeccably but this app is hot garbage.
