When Apple released the new version of Reminders, I had to use it. I love the app itself, but its widget is terrible. I almost abandoned the app altogether until I came across this app. And wow this app delivers!! I would rate it 5 stars a hundred times if I could! It’s so customizable and visually pleasing. I loved this app so much I didn’t even hesitate to buy their calendar one too. I am very satisfied with my purchases. There is one small thing this app doesn’t have that I wish it did. It’s compatible with the Apple Watch, and the app itself is wonderful and easy to read. However, I wish there was more to the Complication of the app. Right now, if you assign the big slot in the modular watch face to this Complication, it will display the number of tasks left, and the number of tasks in the focus list. I would like it if I could see the top three tasks that would show up like the widget version. Sorry if that doesn’t make much sense. I think the Things3 Complication is a good example of what I’m taking about. Being able the see three of my top reminders just from the watch face would be a major plus. The official Apple Reminders Complication currently only displays one of your reminders, and only if it’s in Today’s list. I’m honestly willing to pay for an update like that, this app deserves it!

It’s ridiculous that you can add a reminder like “Remind me to buy milk”, and it won’t show up in Apple’s Reminders today widget! This is because the Apple widget only shows dated items, and only if the date is past. Reminders+ replaces the Apple widget and fixes this dumb behavior so you can see ALL reminders. This app really is ONLY a widget; when you open it, all you will get are settings for the widget. To install the widget, swipe right from the home screen, scroll all the way down and tap Edit, scroll down to find Reminder+ (under More Widgets), tap the + next to Reminder+, then tap Done at the top right. From then on just swipe right from the home screen and you’ll find Reminder+ in the scrollable list of widgets, showing your reminders.

This app does exactly what I need it to. No more, no less. It's frankly silly that the built-in Reminders widget completely ignores items that are either not due today or don't have a strict time constraint. Unless you're a clockwork automaton, Apple's official widget is useless. The usefulness of this app cannot be understated. It lists *all* of your to-do items, and it lets you specify a reminders list as a shopping list for a secondary widget. Everything else still goes through the built-in app, and still syncs through iCloud as one would expect. It's exactly what Apple should have provided in the first place. $2 well spent, in my opinion.
