I've been using fasten to give a local start up the chance it deserves, but I have 2 big complaints. 1) the estimate is always at least $2 less than the final price. This is especially frustrating because I make decisions on whether or not to pay for parking based on this estimate. And in general, $2 is a relatively significant difference. 2) the locator is poor and never gets my location correct. It would be ideal if I could change this by moving the pin after my destination was plugged in.

“The leader innovate, the common imitate”. Now, what do I get from opening this lackluster of an app? An app that struggles to keep up with the responsiveness of touch. Visually, this app is a complete eye sore. I couldn’t tell if this was a ride-sharing app or an e-trade page while launching. The painful writing or explanation on what they are trying to do as a company seems to be misguided. On the rider app they are telling us what are they charging the drivers in comparison to its competitors. What interest do passengers have with what is your business model? And since that is your point of sale to attract us the consumer, than how do drivers benefit when you cut the prices in order to compete with your competitors? Also, according to your legal page it says that Fasten may increase the quota that you charge drivers at the companies discretion. What factors determine that? Do your drivers know about this? Was it emphasized before hiring them? Or maybe because they are independent contractors, which technically makes them not part of the company, they didn’t have the right to know? This is just another app, following the trend (footsteps) of what other have accomplished and dragging drivers, hoping they never take into calculation what they are really making. I hope this is an eye-opener for all.

I would like to have the app have me log in to Fasten before I attempt to get a ride instead of after I have got the ride and am trying to pay for my ride. Lately the ride has had me log into facebook after I have received my ride and while I am trying to input rating and tip information. It’s a major inconvenience to have to log into fasten again while I’m trying to pay for the ride. Though I love logging into Fasten with facebook, I would like to have to log in before I book a ride if I have to log in at all. Also, I hope to not have to log in to fasten more than once a day.
