Not your everyday 'calendar', Memorandum combines a day/week/month calendar, a task manager-hooked into 'Reminders', and an event management system all on the same screen (i.e. iPad). You can easily rotate the tasks and events to appear on the largest part of the screen, and the events have a 'custom repeat' option that allows, for example, scheduling an event to repeat every other week on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. It's a novel approach, but you may love it like I do.

This is free right now, so I decided to give it a try. I was using reminders and the calendar and this beautifully ties them together in one place. It really is gorgeous and works very well.
