I love love love Parenthoods! The community is supportive, diverse, and respectful. Also, I like that everyone on there is a parent (der) so you can post as many kid/family related things you want and everyone "gets" it--unlike other social media platforms where you know you're probably going to cause a few eye rolls on your third parenting related post in a day. Ha. Although I stick to the discussion threads, there are also activities and meet-ups on there so 'Hooders can get together and get to know each other IRL, too. AND, a classifieds section where you can sell your gear to others. It's rad, ok? Just download it---you won't be sorry!

With the most recent update adding even better features (dark mode 🎉🎉), this app only gets better and better! As a parent with very little support system (no local family or friends with kids), this app has been a tremendous help in getting through the day to day. Being able to ask a question, to know others are going through the same thing, is incredibly useful. I don't feel like I'm alone when I have so many other parents ready to offer their support or advice. As a parent, yes, you're going to talk about things like diapers, poo, spit up, and many others. It's part of the experience (and if you don't, well, good for you, I guess). Not sure how I'd have gotten through the past couple years without these folks.

I've been through my share of local parent groups, online communities and support network since becoming a mom and the folks in this app are the most thoughtful, caring, funny, and unpretentious group of people ever! It's saved my sanity through frequent illnesses, diaper blowouts, and a myriad other TMI topics that become an everyday conversation and I don't know where I'd be today if it weren't for the support I received from this group!
