UPDATE: The developer contacted me because of my review. I am happy to say this app is now working and is amazing. I have no idea how they can make my phone be a magnifying glass, but it is one of the best magnifying glasses I’ve ever had. And I have a ton of visual aids in the drawer because that don’t work. I am so happy!!!!! I just purchased this app because I’m legally blind and thought it might help me read menus at a restaurant. It requires me to allow the app to access my camera and my photos. Both have a button that says allow but I cannot figure out how to allow anything. When I touch the button, nothing happens. When I tried to get help with the app, the link takes me to some gaming page that isn’t in English so I don’t know what it’s about. I’m very disappointed.

Purchased this not sure if it would also add lots of noise/blur when magnifying, as most of these types of apps do. Perfect for just bringing small print up close for reading (flash included). Surprisingly, it brings your subject up close with minimal blur and noise, and you can also take a photo. The Real Lense Mode is almost like a microscope for the iPhone (experiment with levels of magnification vs. distance from subject). You can then run your photo through a “denoise” app to get it looking better. Highly recommend!

I use this app to take close-up photos of coins for eBay sales. It has enough detail to show small details such as doubled dies. Pro tip: plug in the headphones that came with your iPhone. Pushing either volume button on the headphone wire takes a picture. That is, you can use the headphones like a remote shutter switch.
