Lifesize Video Conferencing

So I’m having a hard i had this app on my laptop/chrome book for 7 months and it was really good to talk to but sometimes I can’t hear the person and they can’t hear me and today I tried to go on it and I tried to login in and there was nothing but a white screen I was like is it my laptop or chrome so I restart it and sign out it was the same thing a white screen so what is happening please tell me.

There is so much wrong with the Lifesize app and Lifesize in general. The current app constantly causes a call failure as soon as you join the meeting, forcing you to retry till the service actually works. A good portion of the time we just switch to a different product. Constant complaints on screen share being too blurry (though other sharing apps on the same internet connection work fine) Other UX issues: - App FORCES you to give it permissions or won’t let you use it. I never want to share my video when on mobile, my choice, stop forcing me to have give you the permission, and having it on by default when I call. - When in guest mode, app doesn’t remember the name entered. I have to constantly type my name in. Not that hard to remember the last value entered guys. - Hitting join, doesn’t actually join, in goes to the pre filled extension field. Don’t make me click join twice when both fields are filled in. - No way, (or no obvious way) to switch audio sources. Getting out of your car, only way to switch back to audio on the phone is to turn off Bluetooth (my car will hold onto the connection at least). Want audio to not be speaker phone, not an option. There are plenty of other issues with the web and desktop version (which I don’t use because it is worse than the web version) but this isn’t a review of those products. Likelihood is you didn’t choose this company anyway, IT did so good luck to you in getting them to move to a different solution.

The app insists on being in portrait to access the login and when setting up a conference. When you rotate it to landscape during a call the images end up sideways. An ipad with an attached keyboard isn’t easy to spin back and forth. Use the platform.
