Toastmaster Timer

Edit: Version 1.4.1 completely eliminated the color changing screen! At least on my iPhone 6+, making this app worthless. Adding ADVERTISING which steals my expensive cellphone data is offensive. I guess Derrick Ho has spoken. Sad. If I still had my Apple Developer Kit, I'd write y'all a FREE program to just time speakers and pop up colors. That's all we need! Ho had it almost right, then he went crazy on us here. Bummer. Previous versions: Nagging for review loses a star. Pretty good. A couple of places are confusing and don't start the timer when you'd think it would. Hosed a couple of speakers. Nice that it disables the screen-off. Nice that it has multiple quick options for the basic speeches, table topics, evaluations. Nice that it's customizable. Fix the confusing bits, stop nagging, and this could be a 5-star app.

Can't even tell you how many timing and Toastmasterish apps I have downloaded. This one is GREAT. Custom times available, screen starts out black with small strip of blue showing time as it passes (in seconds). At lower time chosen, screen is green, very visibly, with discreet vibration. Halfway through, yellow, vibrate maybe slightly differently. At max time, screen turns red, vibration, then the counting continues until you stop it. My phone did not "sleep". When I manually made it sleep there was no vibration - but the color had changed when I woke it back up. The counting had continued. The counting also continued when I used another app and then returned. No, there was no vibration when I was in the other app. The app is simple, and pretty easy to figure out. Just don't be using other apps when you're timing, and don't turn your phone off (sleep), and keep the brightness down to save battery , and this is a great app.

I would have rated it better than 3 stars. The timer counts slower than a regular timer. Like that it has the automatic colors the vibration does not work as well when color changes.
