We used OnCue for the first few years we had our whole house generator. I liked it, but was only able to monitor it from my laptop while traveling (RV). I like that we can both monitor using OnCue Plus from our phones and iPads as well as laptops. We use it to monitor the generator when we are away but rarely (if ever) use it to control the unit. My only issue does not appear to have anything to do with OnCue Plus. Occasionally the generator fails to start and then sets an “Over crank” fault. This fault requires using the keypad on the generator to put it back in AUTO mode. This always seems to happen under extreme weather conditions when we are away from home. such was the case a couple of weeks ago when temperatures where in the minus teens. One of the main reasons we have this generator is to ensure we have power under exactly these kinds of circumstances.

Ever since the latest version app was released. Having several issues monitoring one of the multiple generators on the app. Also finding it impossible to find settings for that individual generator as far as notifications settings. I monitor many customers generators as a dealer for Kohler. Im sure as a great company this will be resolved sooner than later. Also I have notice the online version on Google chrome is identical and has the same bug of not allowing you to go back to the main page after viewing notifications. I have to log out and back in to get back to main screen. Both the I phone app and Chrome do the same thing. Furthermore I cannot get to the link via Microsoft Edge or Internet explorer anymore. They both are showing errors with credentials. Saying the connection isn’t private. NET::ERR_CERT_REVOKED. Be happy to update my review to 5 stars when resolved. Thanks.

June 2023: finally got my Service Tech to look at the firmware on the Genset after 2 1/2 years and after the update it’s working like a charm again. This is such an important feature to me as I can always see at a glance how my setup is doing especially in bad weather situations. The app used to work just fine. Now every time I open the darn thing it’s logged me out. It doesn’t ask iOS to save the a password and I hadn’t written the pw down. Had to redo password every time I forgot. Now it hasn’t let me connect since March of 2021. I just had a service tech at the house too and they said ‘Everything is fine, must be the app.’ That’s it. No recommendation, no service help, no nothing. Ridiculously frustrating!!!! This was one of the main reasons I paid for the networking ability of this generator and now it’s useless. ;(
