Hands down the best campground locator app for public camping - state parks, national parks, state forests, national forests, Army Corps of Engineers, fish and wildlife commission, the list goes on and on. Use the map view or search function to find a campground near your destination, then hit the navigation icon to draw a route to it. Easily check out campsites along the way. The app tells you how long of a drive to reach each campsite, what the current weather is, if reservations are accepted, phone number, and provides a link to their website and lots more helpful information. The developer is very responsive to questions and suggestions. Can’t find a better app!

This is pretty much the only App I use for locating non private campgrounds. It does not show private campgrounds at all. This app opens up so many hidden places and more so gives you all the information you need to know about the park. If it’s rv suitable, as well as facilities. Directions , website, telephone info, even takes you to site to book on line if your planning a few days ahead. It’s a treasure for us on the road since we are fully solar powered to find a park of any type to spend the night we can fit on is all we need as well as power, water, dumping or hike and explore. Well worth the small price they are asking for App. It’s updated and easy to navigate.

I do a lot of off the grid traveling in my truck camper during the winter months. I got this app to help me find free or inexpensive camping locations. It’s very useful for that and I can recommend it. Unfortunately, the developer relies on Apple Maps, which includes terribly outdated satellite view images. How can someone get an idea of the terrain and roads in a remote area they plan to travel to when the satellite images are three or four or more years old? For example, on a recent visit to Wickenburg, AZ, I looked at camping options north of town. Apple Maps satellite view showed roads under construction for what has since become a huge subdivision with more than 400 homes. Those homes didn’t get there overnight. Why is Apple’s data so out of date? Why would the developer utilize such misleading data? Google maps is much more up-to-date and reliable. I really wish the developer would make the switch or allow users to select the map data they prefer.
