This is one of the nicer tuning apps available. Very accurate and easy to read. Some of the features should be unlocked without having to pay as I am weary of buying an app will not let you take advantage of at least a few features to judge its overall function. Recently including internal adds really takes away from the uniqueness and clean look of the tuner. Again this takes away from my willingness to purchase the app and the adds are uninteresting anyway. I do not pay attention to internal adds while tuning. Partners are not getting their moneys worth. Overall though, this is a nice looking and accurate tuning. Partners and developers need to be more creative in regard to internal adds and subscriptions.

It’s interesting even in an app simulation of analogue tuning how close based on criteria presented can make even harmonics level.. I sweeten my tuning and the scale based meter makes for tuning James Taylor sweet easy. This is a fantastic app. If you are looking for tuning down to the cent… it will serve you well. If simple 440 is all you are looking for there are many that will accommodate that but why not just use one that can count 100cents right off? In the end an app like this is where you will land anyway.
That said it’s a simple app.. and can (although it’s very close) replace an analogue harmonic rotary tuner in my opinion. But then again who has the money for a big expense of that… the math is sound. And so is this tuner.

I have been using a different app and it did not tell me if I needed to tune tighter or you know. I am kind of new to guitar and I broke the low e string string and had to restring. I was terrified that one of the strings was going to hit one of my eyes or my face so I was just putting off tuning. I found this app but I have one suggestion. You should add a way to like tap the string your tunning so it doesn’t think you are doing a different string than what you are.

The app listen and analyze the sound in real time from the built-in mic, headset, guitar clip on or from any other external microphone. It is so accurate that it will be your best friend for guitar intonation!
