Really impressed with Fernie so far. The app feels fast, intuitive, and thoughtfully designed. A lot of plant apps feel cluttered or overwhelming, but Fernie has a very clean UX that makes everything easy to use. I especially love the poem/story feed feature, it gives the app a lot of personality and makes caring for plants feel more fun and relaxing. The little stories are genuinely cute.
I found mealybugs in my haworthia last week (rip) but fernie actually helped saving it. The treatment list is so clear and it pings you to follow up a few days later which is the only way to actually get rid of them. It’s super simple and doesn't have all that extra fluff most plant apps have. Definitely worth it if you’re tired of losing plants to pests.
I was using planta before this but i got so tired of filling out like 3 pages of forms every single time i got a new plant lol. fernie is way more chill—you just add the plant and it basically figures out the care and details for you. way faster and the UI isn't all cluttered with random stuff i don't need. if you're tired of doing manual data entry for your collection just get this.
Built on generations of growing knowledge, Fernie brings the hard-won experience of gardeners, growers, and plant experts into one simple app—personal...
