Plural Log

for us, plurallog is easier to use than any other system app weve tried in the past. its really easy to log switches and chat, and we have been loving the poll feature! we ESPECIALLY love that all info is stored locally on our device, theres no cloud sharing, and no account, since many of us get paranoid about data breaches. this saves a lot of anxiety! we follow the development on tumblr and know there are some planned fixes coming eventually, but i personally would like to echo that id like co-fronting stats to be fixed. theres rarely a single headmate fronting, but only the main fronter gets the front stats rather than the main and additional co-fronters. additionally, giving headspaces hex colour picking (like what system members have) would be awesome! with all that being said, this is still the best system tracking app available to me, and we all recommend that other systems give this a try!!

ever since simplyplural announced theyd be shutting down, ive been looking for an ios alternative, and so far ive been enjoying plurallog a lot! its been easy to adjust to and has a comfortable, easily-navigable ui, but i have a few things id like to point out/suggest, seeing how responsive the dev teams been when it comes to criticism - which has been a huge green flag :) 1. folders !! i am SO glad that pl has folders, and nesting ones at that - its been a huge factor in trying to find a good alt. ive had two issues so far with them though, one being that theyre MASSIVE! being able to see the members in folders can be helpful, but when your systems as massive as mine and so thoroughly organized via folders, it means that not being able to hide the members and just look at the folders makes navigating them VERY hard! a setting to hide members from the base folder screen and only show them when the folders edited or on their profile would be incredibly useful, if not just adding collapsable folders entirely! :) another issue ive had is that the folders seem sorted oddly? for example, to organize things we started integrating numbers into the folders that need sorting - ie. 01 activity, 02 species - and weve found it universally helpful! having the folders not seem to follow any pattern makes it very hard to keep things clean and organized as a user, so even just an option to sort folders alphabetically/by unicode would be a lifesaver! 2. icons !! i think theres a bug with how the icons save? i can zoom in on images perfectly fine, but moving the circle around on the image doesnt actually change the location at all, meaning itll recenter after i save it, so only perfectly centered or pre-cropped images can be used for icons, which doesnt seem intentional so i thought id point it out too! thanks for hearing me out! im not in any support servers or anything, so sorry if anything ive saids redundant :)

In light of Simply Plural’s shutdown I’ve made the move to Plural Log and I find the app very intuitive, neat and overall very nice to use! There are a few things about the app that I’m not a fan of, but that don’t ruin the experience I have with it, that I would like to mention all the same as I have had friends using the app echo these feelings. The co-front feature is a bit limiting as it only allows one member to be “fully”fronting at a time, and it is often not easy to discern who’s got the most control at a given time. If the same person who’s fronting could be designated as a co-fronter, or if multiple fronters could be selected, I think this issue would be remedied. Next, the custom fields not being able to be reordered after creation is frustrating. I appreciate that they are even an option, but if mistakes are made or if I want to make a change later on, I don’t want information to be lost because I have to delete and recreate fields. Lastly, a request that may conflict with the app’s private nature is the creation of a friends function. I understand if this is not possible without major reworking, but as someone with several in-person and online friends who are also systems, the ability to keep up with one another’s internal goings-on is very helpful. It’s one of the features of Simply Plural we have been mourning the most.
