This app does exactly what its title implies: it plays my own music that lives on my own device. It works so simply that it’s brilliant. It does exactly what I expect it to do. If you’re tired of everything hiding behind a locked system o f subscriptions, or listening to somebody else’s choice of music for you, this app is THE answer.
This app is super easy to use—simple and nothing fancy. No ads, no in-app purchases, and I can add my own files to make my own playlists. It’s perfect for anyone who just wants music their way!
I’ve been searching for a year for a simple iOS music player that I can let my kids use. I didn’t want to trust someone else’s content ratings in streaming or want them to have free rein to stumble on anything in search results. This requires going back in time to the .mp3 era. All the other apps out there have some kind of modern compromise baked in somewhere. Even VLC! But this app is simplicity. It works. You can let a kid loose on it without a further thought. It doesn’t have any surprises. Great work!
