After further investigation, the problem wasn’t the app at all — it was iCloud Drive’s “Optimize Storage” feature. When that setting is active, iCloud can hang while trying to access files, which caused the app to appear frozen for hours with no progress. That’s an Apple/iCloud limitation, not a flaw in the app itself. I also want to note there was a delay in the developer’s response, but they did follow up. The app actually does what it promises. If you’re running into similar issues, check your iCloud settings first — disabling Optimize Storage before scanning made all the difference. Giving credit where it’s due.
