This is an amazing app but once you get passed the language part and on to the family part of you don’t pay it doesn’t let you continue so this is why I’m choosing to delete this app yes I understand having some things unavailable to those who don’t pay for it in the app but people shouldn’t be stopped completely in their tracks of learning a new language especially asl as it’s not enough people know how to sign and most sign language apps make you pay to learn while other language apps don’t make you pay they give you the option to continue learning with no pay just some things will be blocked like you’d have to pay to get more life’s if you go past a certain amount so then you’d have to wait an hour or two before refilling but no this app makes you pay to continue learning don’t get me wrong it’s a great app good teaching easy to understand but i don’t think it’s right that you can’t continue after a certain point if you don’t pay.
I downloaded it to check it out. I have a degree in Interpreting For The Deaf. I worked as an ASL interpreter for a number of years, but that was years ago. I’m rusty and am trying to brush up on my skills. It offered a 7-day trial, but I had to agree to pay before I could even check it out. I’m not comfortable signing an agreement to pay before I’ve even had a chance to look at it. I’m deleting the app. In addition, the little bit of sign language I could see didn’t look to be done by a Deaf person. It looked awkward. Given that other reviewers also said they saw inaccurate ASL grammar and signs, I’m out.
I just started and absolutely LOVE the app. I am running into a repeated problem, when it asks you to select the correct sign, it won’t let you continue after you have selected one. There is no button and it doesn’t continue automatically. But besides that, it is so easy to operate and by far the best ASL app out there.❤️
