Great idea, but the registration process needs improving. I downloaded the app because I’m interested in working with Idle, but the app is asking me to complete the full driver registration and submit all my personal and vehicle information before I can even establish whether Idle holds an operator licence for my council area. If you are currently only operating in Liverpool, it would be much better to list the councils/areas you currently cover before asking drivers to submit all their information. Otherwise, drivers from unsupported areas could go through the whole registration process for nothing. I would also suggest allowing small independent licensed private hire operators to partner with Idle. There are many one- or two-vehicle operators across the UK where the operator is also the driver. Where legally permitted, a subcontracting or partner-operator system could allow Idle to work with these existing licensed operators instead of having to establish its own operation in every area first. This could help Idle build a nationwide network much faster while supporting small independent operators. I really like the concept and would be interested in joining when my area is supported.
