I joined Peek after all the buzz about its AI. Turns out, it's just like every other budgeting app. It labeled a restaurant charge and simple transfers between checking and savings as “uncategorized” — and counted those transfers as both income and expenses. Seriously? I expected AI that can at least handle basic logic or, I don’t know, Google a transaction name.
Not going to waste time fine-tuning another app — I’m already doing that elsewhere. Deleting the app and my account. Meh, the whole experience was underwhelming.
Tried to delete my account — now the app is stuck in an infinite “Deleting user profile” loop. If they’re this sloppy with user experience — their supposed core value — I’m genuinely starting to worry about data security.
That's all you need to know about this half-baked product.

I like the concept. But the app experience is far too chatbot like and not very conducive to helping me manage my finances better. Feedback wise, I would not make the chat the core medium of the way the user gets guidance! That’s something I can go to ChatGPT for and get a much better experience. Instead, abstracting away walls of text and having me choose big buttons in a friendly onboarding (which is the norm for most apps) and then showing me the best catered finance plan for my position would be a lot more useful.
I really hope this app gets better because I’ve been looking for a real AI finance copilot, but this just feels like another chatbot with a bit of pretty branding.
