This app is fun! And really kind of exciting to learn with because of the colorful and action-filled game design! With no prior knowledge of French, I learned the numbers from 1-9 in five minutes.
Now I’m learning higher numbers. The pace is always challenging but reasonable. There’s lots of feedback on your progress over time.
I think this app would be great for French learners and improvers of every age and level.

This app is a godsend. I’ve been learning French for 6 years and I “learned” French numbers ages ago. But even basic numbers still tripped me up because French people speak fast!
This app is exactly what I need. I can already tell I’m processing numbers faster and in a more “natural” way.

About Languish: French Numbers
Start playing Languish to learn to recognize French numbers like a native – quickly and intuitively.
Nobody understands “four twenties twelve” the first time… which makes it hard to understand telephone numbers, street addresses, or even how much your croissant costs. With Languish, those moments of frustration and embarrassment are over!
Play Languish for just minutes a day to see huge improvements in your ability to quickly recognize French numbers.
For each block that falls on the screen, you’ll hear a number spoken in French. Explode the block by entering the number you hear. The blocks get harder and harder, and when the blocks pile up, it’s game over!
Levels range from 1 to 9,999, with male and female speakers for all numbers. Tutorials will teach you numbers you don’t know yet (or you can skip them).
Challenge yourself in Arcade Mode to try to get all the way to Expert. See your progress over time and beat your high score.
Or, pick exactly what you want to learn in Practice Mode – Languish intelligently identifies the numbers you struggle with the most.
