City Walkabout

I love that this City Walkabout app helped me plan a walking tour of Leysin, Switzerland with my son and that the app didn’t require me to be staring at my phone during the walks. This is an example of an excellent app that adds value to real life outside the phone screen without requiring much interaction with the phone while on the walking adventure. I have always enjoyed exploring cities on foot. This app is an innovative use of LLMs Generative AI (surely that is what it must be using to be able to map walking tours of almost any city on earth) that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise. I will also use it in my home town of NYC.

If you want to get to know a city you have to walk it! Walkabout is such a great way to explore a new city. It’s so fun to see what pops up! My kids love planning out our routes and destinations. It makes discovering new places feel like a little adventure. If you love walking and checking out cool spots, you have to try this app!
