I’ve been a long-term Dogo user with a lifetime subscription, so I really want this spinoff walking app to succeed. Wanted to share screenshots of the app burning 24GB in a month, failed walk logs, and inaccurate routes. But the in-app ‘Contact Us’ button doesn’t work — so here I am leaving a review instead. Unfortunately, app has some serious issues. First, the data consumption is extreme – over 24GB in a single billing cycle, more than all my other apps combined. This makes it very hard to use during regular walks. Second, walks often fail to save properly, and the route tracking is not always accurate. The app sometimes disconnects and reconnects, leaving just a straight line between points instead of the actual path. These problems make the experience so so, even though the concept itself is great. There’s definitely room for improvement here. I’m rooting for the team, but they need to step up and optimize both performance and reliability for this to be truly useful.
This is an excellent walking app. I have never used anything like that before so I was quite excited. In the future it could also be linked to some sort of gps collar so we could also use this app for tracking the location of our dog. One more suggestion: push the walked distance and duration to Apple watch. That would be quite convenient. Also, it would be nice to start the walk from Apple watch too (for those with gsm models) as quite often we leave phones at home when walking our dog.
I love tracking my walks with my dog using this app! It lets me compete with friends or challenge myself and create a gallery for each walk. It's great to look back and see where I’ve been and what I’ve discovered 💚
