It was confusing to have NIOSH in this App's name, since the official NIOSH App is the NIOSH Sound Level Meter. Both Apps gave different measurements in a quiet bedroom seconds apart (18 dB for this one and 38 dB for the Sound Level Meter). No way to verify which measurement was the accurate, although the 38 dB seemed more realistic based on an online search -giving middle 3 star rating because I do not have formal verification. It was ultimately on me to notice the developer's name, which is clearly stated. Apple could consider labeling official Apps from organizations and institutions more clearly, similar to YouTube labeling a music video "official version" to distinguish it from other videos.
