MyDex TCG Cards

I was curious how much my work in progress master sets of black bolt and white flare were worth and this app helped me gain a rough estimate for sure. I love the quickness with which it scans and its decent accuracy. And the interface is easy to use and understand. But It did struggle scanning Japanese cards despite being set to any language. I had to manually switch to the Japanese setting for it to even pick the card up. And sometimes I’d scan a card and it would read it as a totally different card, and then I’d have to stop and go into the scans and delete it and manually search up the card I was trying to scan to add it to the correct collection. But that only happened like 5 times out of the 300+ cards I did scan. It also just refused to scan the horizontally formatted Break Ex cards I have in my trade binder. The cards are on the app cause I searched for them and they were there but the scanner refused to scan the weird horizontal cards. Also with master setting, I need to be able to include the pokeball and masterball holos and those cards are missing. They scan as the normal or reverse holo. And the app says they only have cards that have a market value on there. But according to TCG player, the pokeball and masterball holos are worth a decent amount of money despite not being an IR. So I know the amount the app is saying the collection is worth right now is not accurate and could be off by a couple 100. I do appreciate the pro version having a lifetime one time fee, so I look forward to seeing improvements and updates done to the app. It’s a really solid start. But because I paid the lifetime fee, I don’t plan on exploring other apps and I hope that this one improves.

I normally use Collectr which is awesome, so seeing this app I got super hype. It's a very clean UI which I adore. My issues are this: I think the price is way too high for premium at a weekly cadence. If it was a monthly sub it would make a little more sense. Additionally, all the features are behind a paywall. I feel like something like this should at least have a way to store my collection and see an average price that updates weekly or something. Even if it doesn't give the daily updates and all the extra awesome features that are definitely worth the paywall. There should be more accessible features before hitting a subscription. If that changes, I'll absolutely be using this app for everything. And honestly I really hate to say that the price doesn't seem justified because you very clearly put so much love into this!! Your time and heart are absolutely valuable! Edit: I added a star for developer response. Absolutely fantastic. I appreciate any developer that takes the time to listen and respond. I can tell the dev genuinely cares about the app and us as users. Outstanding

Honestly, this is one of the best apps on my phone. It’s super fast, responsive, and just works. Having all the data from eBay, TCGplayer, and Cardmarket in one place makes it an incredible value. I started with the free version, really put it to the test, and by the end of the same day I upgraded to the lifetime subscription — it’s that good. It saves me so much time since I don’t have to bounce between different sites or double-check prices anymore. I also like making as many collections as I want and the scan feature for cards. Plus, I love the price graphs that show trends over the past 7 or 30 days — it makes tracking values so much easier. Give it a try — I’m pretty sure you’ll love it just as much I do.
