This is what you’re looking for…dual full NAM A2 amps and IRs, you can build a crazy setup with an interface, midi pedal board, and multiple instances of this running just on an iPhone or iPad. Latency is no greater than with a pedal modeler and you can have so many amazing effect options. There just isn’t much of a reason for a hardware modeler anymore.
TL;DR: Outstanding App. Highest Recommendation. This is a large improvement over GifFast LiTE which is made by same company. I have lifetime license to GifFast and there is a noticeable improvement in the sound fidelity in NamXT vs GiGFast. Also, NamXT does NOT crash inside A-U-M when switching presets. That is a HUGE improvement. Can also use dual amps, use one IR for both Amps. All in all, do not hestitate to purchase this application. For the small amount they are asking you get large functionality and a stable application.
The app sounds great and does not use a lot of CPU. It does have some bugs and a shortcoming that needs addressed. The bug is that in IpadOS 18.3 RC when hosted as an AUV3 the import screen freezes and you cannot import a NAM profile or an IR. You can import in standalone mode, save a preset then open that preset in AUM or Audiobus, but the app also sometimes fails to load. You have to hit reload seeral times and it starts. On MacOS (14) the shortcoming is that there is no VST or AAX version to load, and this is needed as I use BlueCat Patchworks to make presets that incliude other apps. All in all not bad for 10 bucks, the 4 stars is just based on how it sounds, were it to work flawlessly it would be 5 stars.
