Carve Quest

I’m enjoying the game, they fixed the last annoying glitch that kind of ruined things for a while. However, now there’s two things annoying me. 1) none of the “watch adds to take time away” buttons work after I used them all one day and they’re supposed to regenerate after a period of time and now I’m waiting over a week for it to happen. 2) the metal spheres serve no purpose anymore, not truly. I use maybe 7500 of them a day to get some supplies and equipment, but I’ve accumulated over 200,000 because I can’t spend them on anything because I’ve Maxed out my equipment’s level. Maybe I use them in the new area I can unlock with a gear score, but the only way to increase my gear score is to increase the rarity of my gear, which takes a lot to do. So for possibly the next few weeks or even months I’m just going to be stockpiling the spheres and if the new area doesn’t use them, then I have all these spheres for nothing. I’m hoping they’ll add other upgrades, a higher level for your gear, or even unlock gear for your helpers or something to use the spheres for, but till then I’m stuck hoarding a relatively useless resource. And now with the new update, my robots aren’t keeping their rank when I prestige, in fact I’ve found that their ranks reset when I close and then reopen the app and they want me to KEEP using a rare resource to upgrade them over and over again. The latest update screwed this up because it used to be they stayed the rank you got them to in order to make your next go easier.

This is a 4+ age app. There should be no adult ads on this, but I keep getting semi-pornographic, AI, gambling, and drug ads no matter how much I report them (when possible) as they’re against my morals. Meaning no, they’re not targeted no matter what the ad companies say. Some of the things being pushed at me aren’t even legal where I live. The other issue is performance. Even on the lowest setting, putting my phone on a fan or bit of marble, it gets very hot after a while of playing. Also as far as performance goes, a lot of the timers say you’ll be able to get something in X number of hours, but when you come back that many hours later, it still says you have many hours left to be able to claim that thing. The second bit, especially, makes me sad because it’s a really great time waster when I’m working out or in a line waiting to check out somewhere. Those issues (inappropriate ads and taking up more resources than things like Pokemon Go or Merge Dragons) and I’d swap my rating for 5*

As of yesterday you could sink time into the rings and eventually get to the next chest. Now, it’s blocked by gear power which doesn’t seem to have been balance tested. There’s no good way to gain gear power at the moment aside from clothing items which only drop from chests that appear to be broken after you claim them the first time. To put this into perspective, I was on the third set of rings yesterday morning, but now it’s saying that I need 2200 gear power to carve it. With the pitiful two gear items the game gives you, I have 100 gear power… I can’t progress without prestiging and starting over. Then, you have to upgrade the gear items using orbs collected from another area of the game that was just added, but for some reason, the blades are super slow and can only be upgraded using diamonds. Also, the gloves the game gave me have to be upgraded using diamonds as well. I don’t know why my goggles can use the orbs, but the gloves require diamonds. It’s super frustrating. Diamonds can only be bought or slowly and painfully collected via watching an obnoxious amount of ads or by carving into wood/ground mini games. It was really fun before and just difficult enough to keep it interesting. But now I might just be done with this game. I spent a lot of time getting where I was and now it’s just not worth it anymore. My progress has essentially been reset and it just feels terrible. The game was a 5 before.
